This event is aimed at collectively discussing and reflecting on the main themes of the DESIS book “Design for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship”: design for distributed production and circular economy; design for a new craftsmanship; design for social inclusion and empowerment.
A short but thought-provoking talk from Cynthia Lawson Jaramillo (Parsons School of Design, NYC) will be followed by a presentation of a selection of projects by representatives of the international DESIS network, exemplifying the themes of the 3rd DESIS Thematic Cluster. To conclude the event, a ‘call to action’ will be launched for the DESIS students to activate micro, local, community engagement initiatives to ‘live’ the open questions posed by the book, in light of the current climate emergency and to build a resilient world
